The importance of taking the narrow path

Once in a church meeting, where I was very passionately refuting the tithing lie that God still requires us to tithe, and the entire room was against me, a lady said basically after hearing me out and interjecting a few times, “So, you’re trying to say all these people are wrong who believe that God still wants us to tithe? No way.” She said that as if because the majority believes, that validates a lie. That’s not a very wise way to think, ESPECIALLY today when there are sooo many teachers and philosophies out there which the masses are following, but there is really only one truth, and that is Jesus Christ, the Way, the (Truth) and the Life. Look in scriptures for yourself and see that I am not lying, this is truth. Unlike those peddling the word of God for profit, yet are lying straight through their teeth, mingling in some truth of course so they can get their hooks in you. I’m not being rewarded monetarily for sharing any of what I share with you.

People tend to forget this very important scripture, ““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it, Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. That alone shows that it is foolish to base whether something is true or not by numbers, by whether the majority is in agreement with it, that will only lead to deception and ultimately destruction. Only a (few) are out there preaching the actual truth,it’s a difficult path with MUCH resistance (like being in a room full of people (older people) and only you are saying what you’re saying). The majority are on the broad path because they have rejected the truth and love the lie. The way is narrow because only a FEW find it, it’s so important that we keep that in mind. More often the majority is not always right, that’s one of the reasons I try to stay clear of hopping on bandwagons.

*sidenote* (If anybody wants better understanding on why I said God requiring us to still pay a tithe of our money is a lie, please pray for understanding of the scriptures and very carefully study the books Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews to gain better understanding of the change of the law, how justification is through faith and not through the law, and what is the New covenant and what was considered the Old covenant and how the priesthood changed and because of that so did the law which contains tithing as mandatory) Paul explained the changes that took place.
