And Such (Were) Some of You: Homosexuality

I hope through the information I provide here many may be delivered from deception through coming to the knowledge of the truth.  It is only the truth that sets people free. (John 8:32)

Homosexuality is not a gene in the body, it is not the way God made you, it is not natural, it is not just “two people loving one another”, it is sin. It is brought about by believing a lie like Paul explains in Romans 1:24-25. The same as in the Garden of Eden, satan’s main tactics are lies. The belief of  lies told by satan is what causes people to accept homosexuality. We know satan is the father of lies because Jesus said that’s what the enemy is John 8:44. From my own observation there are two main tactics the enemy uses in order to deceive those who are either a part of this lifestyle or supporters of those a part of this lifestyle:

1)Being drawn through temptation

Lust really is how it begins through fantasies and dreams of sexual gay/lesbian encounters.  (These occurrences do not mean that you’re actually gay already but through  these feelings and being enticed by them the enemy wants you to succumb to these desires and claim being gay “come out of the closet”).

When you begin to get older (if these desires began as a child) the enemy will place in your path others who he has also been tempting in the same way. Eventually you draw closer and closer to this sin’s ultimate manifestation and that’s acting out those many fantasies you’ve had.

We read in James where it says, “When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.” James 1:13-15. So first the desire must be established, then the admittance of you being gay/lesbian/bisexual before or during the same time you’re acting out those desires. Now after a person has come to admit they’re gay then what? Then the enemy introduces the next tactic.

2) He gets you to believe that being gay is acceptable and not a sin.

This is kind of the “Did God really say that?” moment. Those who know the truth know what the Bible says about this but the enemy uses his same old tactic of twisting the word to deceive. How does he do this? Well, we can see today he is doing it through the media through the obvious programming and desensitization to same sex relations being pushed through movies, tv shows, songs, even some churches, and high profile celebrities, etc. The enemy causes you to develop an appetite for these types of programmes to the point where you even begin to search for this type of content yourself. You look for films with gay/lesbian storylines, you look for books, articles, photos, whatever can stimulate your flesh. You’re even titillated by dialogue about same sex desires. All of this is a trap set by the enemy in order to catch us and lead us down the path of destruction.

There is a scripture that comes to mind, “And if your eye causes you to fall into sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,” Mark 4:9. Now we know God doesn’t mean for us to literally go and get an object and pull our eyes out but I think this has to do with self-control, with being wise enough to not set before our eyes what will cause us to stumble like David said, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.” Psalm 101:3. So, it would be wise to certainly stay away from anything gay/lesbian that may lead us into temptation in this area, that includes sensual dialogue.

I think getting people to find homosexuality as acceptable is something the enemy is more so concerned with the world in general believing than only gay folks because if you’ve become accustomed to something, no matter what it is, if you have begun to love it and live it then you’re usually not going to be so quick to speak against it, that goes for adultery, fornication, lying, stealing, murdering, raping, paedophilia, etc. So getting people to accept sinful things as completely normal is kind of easy if they’re already indulging in it. If satan can get people in the church to believe its’s okay, if he can get your mother and your father to see it is okay, even worse if he can get little children to believe it is normal to have two mothers or two fathers, then this makes it more difficult for people to share the truth from the word of God on this topic and not be seen as hateful by the world and even by some people in the church.

The enemy has been developing this for centuries, it is only now becoming more obvious what he has been trying to do and why out of all the sins he has really made a diligent effort to push this to the forefront. The Bible says that sexual sin (of any kind) is actually sinning against our own bodies. “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:18-20  The bible teaches flee sexual immorality but the world is saying to embrace it, to tolerate it, to be inclusive.

This is a direct attack and perversion on God’s natural order and how He made us male and female, as written, “Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘For this reason a (man) will leave his father and mother and be united to his (wife), and the two will become one flesh’?” Matthew 19:4-5.

I am saying all of this so that when you see this happening, or if you are already experiencing this, know that none of this is from God but it’s from our adversary the devil to make it so you are ineligible to inherit the kingdom of God. The enemy is not fair and he doesn’t give gifts, he expects payment and that payment is our very soul, but thanks be to God that there is deliverance, there is a Redeemer.

God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins. That  payment was not made with money but with His own precious blood through His death on the cross (1 Peter 1:18-19) so although we have been born in sin and sinned, once we have come to Christ having faith in Him and believing His Gospel and we’re born again, the enemy cannot lay claim on us when a payment has already been made which sets us free from debt to sin and God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23, 1 John 5:10-13). But if a person says that they have no sin, like many who are gay/lesbian believe (that being gay is not a sin) they are not telling the truth. It is written, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ” 1 John 1:8. It is also written, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.…” 1 John 1:9.

So we must confess our sins, we must repent of them, this is the only way to be saved from death and the wrath of God to come upon the world because of sin. It doesn’t matter how long you have been gay/lesbian, if you confess and repent of your sins God will forgive you and He will not only do that but He will cleanse you, not only that but He will give you help through His Holy Spirit so we are able to remember the words of the Lord, so we may be comforted in our times of distress, that we may be taught by God His will and ways (John 14:26, 1 John 2:26-28). that we may be able to escape temptation (1 Corinthians 10:12-14). This is the love of God, that He did all of this so we may have life and live it more abundantly (John 10:10). And once Christ has set you free, it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, you are free indeed. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36.

If you need help with this do not despair but pray, as written we are to cast our cares upon God for He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7)

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 5:9-11

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.

“If you consent and obey, you will eat the best of the land; “But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken” Isaiah 1:18-20

The way you have written this post is absolutely beautiful Sateigdra, and that is why God is using you in this way. Unless we have empathy we have no sympathy.
God bless you as you continue to be led by our Lord Jesus along our narrow road. It leads to a beautiful place.

Thank you Brenda for your encouraging words. Thanks so much dropping by. God bless you my sister in Christ.

    2. This post is not empathetic or sympathetic. I fail to see how this does anything but make people feel guilty for who they are, which is despicable. Homosexuality is not Satan. Judging others is.

  4. What sins do you commit? Perhaps you should be working on those and not worrying about others’ sins. Isn’t that Biblical?

    1. SLRK says:

All sinners are called to repent of our sins. Repent and believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Repent means to turn away from sin and choose to do God’s will. That is Biblical.
